The Quest to Know Jesus

We are on a quest to know Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Our quest is based on the firm belief (a belief not without evidence) that Jesus Christ is in fact permanently RISEN FROM THE DEAD. That is, He is ALIVE and knowable today.

Vision and Values for a multiplying House Church Movement

I've given some consideration to what I believe is an appropriate framework for believers in a house church setting who are serious about fulfilling the Great Commission. I'm talking about people who are serious about preaching the Gospel to all people, and making disciples, who choose to embrace a church life that is closer in form and hopefully in power to that of the early Christian church.

Evangelists Wanted!

I believe very much in both the office of Evangelist and the gift of evangelism. For some reason better known to the devil than to the Body of Christ, the Office of Evangelist has been neglected in our country of Australia. If you think that is not true, tell me where all the "full-time" evangelists are hiding? They've all become pastors or property developers, haven't they?

Prayer

We believe the Lord wants his people in Brisbane to fast and pray more than before. See, if we went on a missions trip to a developing nation, where, lets face it, IT IS EASY - we would definitely fast and pray if we wanted to see God move in power.

A visit from some brethren

We were blessed to have Sam, Paul, Jacob, Levi and Eldo visit us this afternoon. They and their families have a house church on the southside in Mansfield. We had a great time of fellowship with them and the families with us. The Spirit of God also moved, and Daniel had a vision and a message which confirmed what Sam had preached in his meeting that morning. The message I shared was on the power of the Word of God, and praying the Word of God. We want to get prayer answers. That is important to God.

We have committed ourselves to REALLY PRAY

We are not impressed with what WE can do. We know that GOD however can do great things. So we have committed ourselves to pray, Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as on Sunday together.

If you live in Brisbane and are hungry for God, we would welcome you to pray with us. We are praying for personal awakening. We want to have our spiritual eyes opened. We want the recovery of spiritual sight. We want to buy the eye salve from Jesus.

The apostle Paul prayed for the disciples in Ephesus as follows:

God is beginning to pour out His Spirit upon us!

We were so excited yesterday, on the 8th of March, as one of the ladies in our group, who is actually Japanese, was baptized in the Holy Spirit. She was wonderfully surprised by the power of God which came upon her, and began to speak in tongues. She was quite amazed because she said the way her tongue was moving was totally unlike the way it happens when you talk in Japanese.

All glory to God! We look forward to what will happen next!

We have now begun with several families!

We started off almost 2 months ago with just two families and it seems the Lord may have added a third couple - and we are very happy about that. There have been a few other enquiries so we are encouraged by the response.

We have been doing Bible studies on the Gospel of John, praying for one another, waiting on God and listening to His voice as He gives words of encouragement and instruction.

All our meetings seem to fly past! We wonder where the time went at the end of it.
